Hi, I’m Dr. David Nicholson - a clinical & consulting psychologist on a mission to help your relationships thrive through effective communication.
A bit about me…
Native Texan
Honors graduate of Vanderbilt University
Received Doctorate from the University of North Texas
Worked for the Minirth Meier Clinic from 1986-93
Owned my Private Practice since 1993
Started consulting for ministries in 2008
As specialist in the field of teaching communication and collaboration skills, I’ve completed the nation’s top secular and faith-based conflict resolution programs (Peacemakers, Interpersonal Communication Programs, PREP/Christian prep, Crucial Conversations, etc.).
I’ve conducted seminars and workshops for business professionals, nonprofits, church leaders, and Christian organizations, wanting to find healthier ways to handle conflict in decision-making.
I’ve been married to my lovely wife, Cindy, since 1983.
We have three grown children, Clint, Darcie, and Luke, and three adorable grandchildren.
As a couple, we prioritize being deeply involved in our church home. Over the past 4 decades we’ve volunteered as youth group leaders, served as elders, led Bible studies, gone on mission trips, and opened up our home to our community.
Aside from work, I love running, lifting weights, being at the lake, riding my unicycle, practicing Spanish, watching SportsCenter, and riding the rollercoaster that is being a Dallas Cowboys fan.
